Bark Park Now Open!!
Come and let loose with your four legger!! The Houndstooth Bark
Park is an off leash dog park that is open behind the Houndstooth Bakery and
Boutique.
This 2 acre park is entirely fenced for the safety of our
furfriends. The Bark Park is a work in progress with many things planned for
the future.
We will continue to accept donations for this wonderful area.
Our next goal is to erect a pavilion that will be used for training, seminars,
etc.
The Bark Park can be rented for special occasions too! Please
contact us if you are interested in having a private event at the Bark Park.
The Houndstooth Bark Park is open to everyone 7 days a week from
morning til dark. There will not be a charge to use the park unless the rules
are not being followed. Please be considerate and help to keep our Bark Park
functioning for many y”ears” to come.
Bark Park Rules
This is a private park so in order to keep The
Houndstooth Bark Park functioning for
many years to come we ask you to follow these simple
rules!!!
1. Unleash your dog
within the double gated area. Leashed dogs within the park may feel threatened
and growl or bark when an off-leash dogs greet them.
2. Scoop your Poop!!!
This is just common sense and will keep our park clean. If you forgot to bring
your own bags feel free to use the Pooper Scoopers, or biodegradable bags that
we have supplied. Garbage buckets are located throughout the park. If this
rule is not followed we will start charging a fee for use of this Park!!!
3. Please supervise
your dog at all times to make sure they are playing “nice”. Be aware that dogs
have different play styles Educate yourself on dog behavior and don’t be afraid
to ask questions. A behavior that concerns you may simply be a rambunctious play
style. And most importantly, if you suspect your dog is not having fun, please
respect their wishes and take them home.
4. Please do not bring
more than 2 dogs at a time!! (more than 3 are difficult to supervise and
sometimes act in a “pack” toward others).
5. You must be 18
(two leggers!!) or older to use the park! If you are a parent, please do not
bring children younger than 13 with you (remember, your attention needs to be on
your dog!!)
6. Do not bring
female dogs in season. We will allow intact (unspayed or unaltered) dogs
HOWEVER keep in mind that intact males and females often bring a higher level of
anxiety to a dog park so please use careful consideration prior to
bringing unaltered dogs to this park. Please do not be the dog owner who makes
us change the rule.
7. If a dog fight
happens STAY CALM and act immediately!! Call you dog back to you even if your
dog is not involved in the altercation. If your dog was involved in the
argument, please take your dog home. Please review the Article on Dog Fights to

8. The entire
Houndstooth Property is Non - Smoking.
9. Make certain your
pooch is up to date on Rabies Vaccination.
10. The Houndstooth
reserves the right to exclude any dog or human from the Bark Park!!
11. This is a Play
at your own risk park!!
12. YOU MUST HAVE A PAW PASS TO
USE THE PARK. Please stop at the shoppe to get one!!!!
